A society with equitable opportunities where women, children, and youth living in vulnerable circumstances are empowered with educational, health, and economic capacity to become self-reliant and contribute to sustainable development.

Mission

To empower women, children, and youth in vulnerable circumstances through education, health awareness, life skills training, entrepreneurship development, mentorship, and access to economic opportunities in order to improve household wellbeing and community resilience.

Why we are called Kaya

The name KAYA symbolizes the household, family, and the foundation of community life. It represents the place where life begins, challenges are experienced, and real transformation starts. Development reflects our commitment to sustainable progress through education, health, life skills, and economic empowerment.

Our specific objectives

Ten commitments that translate our mission into work we can be held to.

  1. To provide practical training in production skills, life skills, and entrepreneurship development.

  2. To provide mentorship, follow-up support, and guidance to beneficiaries to ensure effective application of acquired knowledge and skills.

  3. To promote awareness on health, nutrition, hygiene, and family wellbeing within communities.

  4. To strengthen beneficiaries' capacity in financial management, savings, and small-scale investment.

  5. To facilitate access to markets, small capital opportunities, and employment pathways through strategic partnerships.

  6. To conduct awareness campaigns on social rights, equal opportunity, and community development.

  7. To collaborate with government institutions, private sector actors, and other organizations in implementing sustainable development initiatives.

  8. To conduct research, data collection, and socio-economic analysis to inform sustainable interventions.

  9. To provide advisory and technical support to social and economic groups for self-reliance and growth.

  10. To establish, manage, and implement development projects aimed at reducing household poverty and improving community wellbeing.
